Disneyland Fantasmic Blue Bayou Dinner Party Review!

My family decided to splurge on a fun experience when we were in Disneyland in August.  We really wanted to see Fantasmic and wanted reserved seating so that we could be sure and see the show. We also wanted to eat at the Blue Bayou, so it made sense for our family to participate in the Fantasmic Blue Bayou Dinner Party!
Cost: $72 per adult, $29 per child + tax & gratuity
The Blue Bayou is located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride! You can watch people ride by in the boats if you are near the water.
Menu:
3-Course Meal
Appetizers: House salad or seasonal soup + a couple of premium options for an extra cost (Seafood Hush Puppies, Fried Calimari & Golden Beet Salad)Entrees: Vegetable Pasta, Jambalaya, Catch of the Day, Roasted Chicken Maison, Surf & Turf, and Herb Crusted Rack of LambDesserts: Maleficent (pictured), Vanilla Creme Brulee, Almond Coffee Cake & 8-Layer Chocolate-Hazlenut Cake
Kids options: Appetizer: Veggies with RanchEntrees: Chef’s Beef Specialty, Chicken Breast, Mickey’s Cheesy Macaroni, and Sustainable FishDessert: Fondant Chocolate Cake

Pros: Overall we really enjoyed our experience!  We were served bottomless mint juleps with our meal. The food was all really good, the atmosphere and service were great! We were given cushions to sit on for the show as apart of the package, they were souvenirs for us to keep. The reserved seating was great and we were able to see the whole show sitting on the ground with nothing blocking our view.

Cons: I wish there were more options for the kid’s appetizers and desserts. We were brought out the flashy Maleficent light up dessert as apart of our meals and my younger 2 were given the chocolate cake.  The cake was delicious but was a bit of a let-down when everyone else’s lit up. They would have preferred a small salad over the veggies and ranch they were served.

Overall, the price is quite steep once tax and gratuity are added in.
This experience can be reserved 60 days in advance and I strongly encourage you to book a reservation if this is an experience you are interested in.
