Just under two hours away from the hustle and bustle that is Walt Disney World, there lives a resort that is all about taking it slow.
Welcome to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. For the Disney fan you will enjoy the legendary Disney service and magical touches that abound. For the family member who just goes along for the ride to the theme parks they will have a chance to experience the mythical “vacation from their Disney Vacation.”
This resort offers something for every member of the family. Kids games, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, a pirate theme water play area and music. For adults there are wine tastings, an amazing spa, crafts, and karaoke. For the whole family there is an amazing pool, mini golf, and who can forget the OCEAN. A private stretch of powder sand with the beautiful Atlantic to enjoy.

The rooms are simple, elegant, and fresh. We had a garden view room and really enjoyed the quiet comfort of this accommodation.
A few notes-
If you are driving I would advise bringing beach chairs and extra towels. You are given beach towels for use during your stay, but we found we needed more than what was provided. Beach chairs are available for rent and are not inexpensive.
The food at the resort is very good, but very pricey and we found several great restaurants all around the Vero Beach area. Mr. Manatees was a favorite! Just ask the front desk for a listing of restaurants.
That being said, it is good to note that the food court does offer…
Some of the events are an additional charge. We paid $12 for tye-dying a t-shirt. The event included the shirt and all supplies so it was worth it to have a really fun souvenir.
I would highly recommend a 2 or 3 night visit to vero beach as part of a longer trip to Walt Disney World. Who can argue with a vacation that ends with a watermelon margarita and this view…
